Eye test

Thanks to Elf Odin (@ElfOdin) for this poster which he spotted at Wilmot Mountain Flea Market in Wisconsin.

It really makes my skin crawl and I can hardly bring myself to look at it.

Maybe through a pair of those 'Premium' $3.33 Readers it would look OK.

Predictive text

I ordered some stationery from Ideal Envelopes the other day and received this message from DPD, the delivery service that Ideal uses.

I have to say that the Predict online tracking system is nothing short of excellent. You can follow your DPD delivery van on its route and the web page shows you on a map exactly where your parcel is in the delivery queue.

So Predict's ability to provide an accurate delivery time is brilliant.

But Predict's ability to provide a meaningful email header?

Far from Ideal.

XXX-rated video hire

If you've never heard of kerning, or you don't really know what it is and couldn't care less about it, this video shop sign in Hudson, Florida may help emphasise its importance.

Nick R's in a twist

Looks like the BBC's Political Editor, Nick Robinson, became rather over excited at the prospect of more women joining the Cabinet yesterday.

Loch Mess

Those of you who are planning to visit Scotland should steer clear of using Google Maps as a guide. Especially if you're hoping to spot the Loch Ness Monster.

As its name suggests, Nessie's home is Loch Ness. You can see it clearly marked on Google Maps lying to the South West of Inverness.

On the same map, however, you'll also see, to the North East of Inverness, a stretch of water known - only to Google - as Scotland Loch Ness Lake. To everyone else of sane mind, that is actually the Moray Firth.

No wonder it's been difficult to find Nessie.

Clearly we've been looking in the wrong place all this time.
