Thanks to Jon C for going to the trouble of scanning the cover of a recent edition of The Sunday Times Magazine and sending it in.
It's a spoof ransom note credited to Mat Gill and photographed by Kevin Dutton.
Mat Gill is a Senior Designer at The Sunday Times. At least, that's what it says on LinkedIn.
I'm sure he knows as well as anyone the importance of having your work checked. But, on this occasion, it seems that there was no one looking for out him.

On the bread line
There I was, enjoying my breakfast toast, when I almost choked on this.
Shame the strap line doesn't match the standard of the product.
Come on, Irwins, use your loave's and get a grip.
Oh, and while you're at it, see if you can find the missing fullstop too.

Hot food
Dennis A spotted this interesting dish on a recent visit to the Jinnah restaurant in Leeds. It's on the menu under House Specialities.
I'm not entirely sure exactly what aphrodisiac they use for the marinade but apparently it can make even a lamb or chicken appear fairly hot.
But, as the dish has 'a fiery strong strength', I wonder if the after effects to which the menu alludes are more likely to be digestive rather than suggestive.

Gunplay
If anyone can shed more light on this story taken from PennLive, then please do.
But first you're going to have to explain exactly what the term gunplay means because neither I nor Cris (@CRISis73 on Twitter), who brought it to my attention, have a clue.
And who's doing the gunplaying?
The Cop with no name or the hopping Robber?

Young Adolf
Every year, many high school students in the USA open their yearbooks to find that their Mum and Dad have gone to the trouble - and expense - of placing an ad featuring a picture of them along with some appropriate words.
It's a nice gesture, but sometimes it can go wrong.
Like, for instance, this one featuring a young baseball player from an unnamed high school which was posted on reddit the other day.
You can see that Mom, Dad and Kota's message did not quite say what they intended.
By the way, how many innings are there in a baseball game?
Nein.
