The Large Hadron Collider has been out of the news for a couple of years while it's been shut down and upgraded.
But now it's back with double its previous capacity.
And with it, the same old headlines from BBC News which, clearly, hasn't matched the upgrade to its spell-check system.

Signs of more activity
Palo Alto High School (Paly to its friends, apparently) was clearly not happy with the replacement parking sign which we talked about last week.
I said at the time that I thought it represented a bit of a cop-out showing, as it did, the letters A.P. instead of Assistant Principal or, in reality, Assisant Principal.
So, they've replaced the replacement with yet another sign with the full, corrected, title.
Or should I say signs?
Because there were, apparently, no less than three incorrect signs originally, followed by another three signs to replace the first three. And now a further three to replace those.
What? Does it really take three signs to show one parking space? Just how big is the Assistant Principal's car?
Clearly not as big as the AP's ego.

Counting the cost
Here in the UK we're in the middle of an election campaign during which no photo opportunities are missed or wasted.
Since, as political commentator Paul Begala once said, 'Politics is show business for ugly people', the results of such opportunities can be pretty horrific.
Few are in Hillary Clinton's league, however, when it comes to photographic gaffes.

Signs of activity
We're going back to Palo Alto, CA today. More specifically, we're joining Jon C in the car park of the rather prestigious Palo Alto High School.
There's been a bit of a ruckus over the sign for the Assistant Principal's parking space.
I have to say though that the replacement sign represents a bit of a cop out.
